Hello! Thank you for taking the time out to visit my website and getting to know me. Obviously, there are a lot of agents here at the Lake of the Ozarks that you can choose to work with. I do think it is important to know who you are working with and if it is a good match. Believe it or not, I don’t just want to sell you something. I love what I do and I want to always enjoy it!! I want my clients to connect with me, but I also want to enjoy my clients. Life is too short.
We all have a story, so here is mine:
I moved to the Lake of the Ozarks in 1999 from Kansas City. I was one of those people who enjoyed coming to the lake every weekend year after year. As time went on, the weekends got longer and longer. I love everything about the lake. I felt like a different person at the lake than in the City, more at ease, more relaxed! I wanted to move to the lake but jobs were limited in income potential compared to what I was use to and that was hard to get over. I graduated in 1990 from the University of Kansas (Go Jayhawks!) Yes, I still do have a lot of Mizzou and Iowa friends! I went straight into the corporate world and continued working my way up. On the side, I started buying rental property for myself and ended up getting my broker’s license in1996. In 1999, I decided to do something that would change my life forever. I gave up my life as I knew it, my career, my job and my home to move to the lake all by myself where I knew nobody to open a business, I knew nothing about! Yes it was crazy and it was very scary, but that is how I ended up at The Lake of the Ozarks. I opened two restaurants, a boutique and a mini-mart on the water. After the first year, it became the hottest place on the lake and well known through out the country. In time it evolved to adding a night club, condo rentals, another restaurant on the highway, and opening a real estate company in 2002. In 2005 I had about 150 employees and a 3 year old. Something had to give. I chose to stay in real estate and leave the rest behind. So, that is my story. I am living my dream. What you will find here is that everyone has a story of how they ended up here and you don’t meet too many people that are actually from here.
Why should you choose me as your real estate agent? I have had the opportunity to buy and sell investment property and commercial property for my self for the last 23 years and have been a broker since 1996. I have lived at the Lake of the Ozarks since 1999. I love the lake and everything about it. Selling real estate is my passion. I am very self motivated, dedicated professional. I am use to hard work and I am not afraid of it. My vast experience and diverse background helps me pay attention to detail and accomplish my clients ultimate goals. I pride myself on education. When my career turned to just real estate, I got my GRI which means, “Graduate Realtor Institute”. Not every realtor does this. These are classes you can take after you get your license to further your education in the real estate field. I also received my ABR, which means Accredited Buyer’s Representative Designation. I enjoy furthering my education so I am confident in my abilities to be the best agent for my clients.
I am also very involved in our community. Currently, I am in my second term as a local director for the Bagnell Dam Board of Realtors. I have served on the Public Relations Committee, the Membership committee and our MLS Committee. I have also been on the Planning and Zoning Committee for Lake Ozark since 2007. As far as volunteer work, I have volunteered for the YMCA, Kiwanis, Easter Seals and I always participate in the Lake Shore Cleanup.
Now, I have shared my story with you and would truly enjoy to hear yours. Again, I recognize the fact that you have a choice in real estate agents and I am committed to earning your business through professionalism and personalized service. I look forward to hearing from you.
